9/11/10, 8AM: South Jersey Tour DES Farms--Pedal through the Burlington County Farm Belt!

Pedal through some of New Jersey's most beautiful farmland. Get to know the diversity of Jersey’s agricultural production. Shop for local produce as you ride and we will pick up your purchases and deliver them back to the starting point for you.

Ride options are a 14 mile route; a 29 mile route; and a 54 mile route with stops at a cranberry farm, vegetable farms, pick it yourself orchards, nurseries, an organic farm, and a community supported agriculture farm.

The South Jersey Resource Conservation and Development Council (SJRC&D), a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the resources of South Jersey, is in the process of planning its fourth annual “Tour des Farms” bicycle ride. This ride is designed to raise awareness and support for the cause of South Jersey’s agricultural lands. Hopefully, The Tours will become well established as an enjoyable family activity with a focus on the uniqueness of South Jersey’s communities.

Proceeds from the fourth annual ride will fund the Farming for the Future Mini Grant Program.  The South Jersey Resource Conservation and Development Council, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to the protection and preservation of South Jersey’s natural resources. http://www.sjrcd.org/tourdesfarms/

TBA: Beachwood Bicycles presents, "An Educational Evening: Advanced Bicycle Fitting and Biomechanics."  This special event will be presented by Greg Trout-BG Master Fit Technician, Adam Davison-BG Fit Technician and Robyn Trout, P.T., D.P.T., M.P.T.. Please register early as to get a spot as there is limited seating and this event will surely fill up fast.  Call or email the shop today.

 

9/12/2010, Hops to Hops Bike MS Ride

In an attempt to raise awareness and rid the world of MS , the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will be hosting this challenging ride
through New Jersey, including a scenic route through Amwell Valley!  The ride concludes at the Inn at Lambertville Station to further enjoy a catered lunch and beer sampling.

The ride is 40 miles long with rolling hills and free eye candy that is sure to please.  If you are looking for a serious challenge with a great cause, then this is the ride for you!

9/25-26/2010, Great New Jersey Country Bike MS Ride

To have a great time with fellow riders and to raise money in hopes to eliminate MS, these are the rides with options to choose from.  With rest stops adequately equipped every 10-15 miles and friends to join you by your side, what more can you possibly ask for?

Ride options are 20 and 50 on the 25th and 100 miles for this event. 

09/26/10, Bike New York presents, "Twin Lights Ride".

10/6/10-10/10/10 6th Annual Tour de Pines Bicycle Tour

The 2010 Tour de Pines, sponsored by Pinelands Preservation Alliance, celebrates Pinelands Month in October with five consecutive single day bicycle tours of the New Jersey Pinelands.

The goal is twofold: to highlight the natural and historic features of the one million acres of the Pinelands, and to encourage New Jersey residents to get out and explore this unique environment.

10/17/2010 2nd Annual Habitat for Humanity "Bike to Build" Benefit Ride

Come out and join us for a guaranteed great time.   Beachwood Bicycles along with the Ocean County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity will be hosting the second annual "Bike to Build" Ride.   Last year was a great time and this year should be even better with a huge turnout expected.  There will be 25, 35 and 50 mile options on offer with plenty of food, fun and great riding on offer.
